It’s a BlackBerry®, but not as we know it. Yes, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is now available on Three!
What makes this phone really exciting is that it’s the first to feature the BlackBerry 6 OS – Blackberry’s latest version of their own operating system. There’s a lot of buzz about operating systems in the mobile phone world right now, and OS 6 is a really exciting development. The new OS basically means that the whole phone is a lot faster. The internet is really easy to navigate because OS 6 gives the Torch a brand new browser which allows you to have multiple web pages open at once. And amongst other things, OS 6 has given the Torch a really easy-to-use music and video player.
The Torch 9800 is the first BlackBerry in the UK with a QWERTY-slider design. Sounds complicated(!), but that basically means that you can decide whether to use the phone’s huge touch screen, or flip it open to reveal the famous full-size BlackBerry keypad. Switching between the two while you’re on the move can make life a whole lot easier.
Of course, it’s got the obligatory smartphone camera – 5 megapixels in this case – and you can pull all of your social networks into one neat and tidy feed on your homescreen.
I’ve made a little video to show off what I think are the best bits of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 – let us know what you think…

@Sedge ” What you need to do is text START to 38001 and this will take £5 from your account and give you access to BB Services for 30 days. It’s an automatic renewal, but you can manage your subscription by clicking on the My BB Services icon in the main menu.” Great now i know how it works on PAYG.
However my orgional question was can i add this on to my £25 one plan sim only deal the anser i got was yes click on provided hyperlink. I did it states
You can buy an Add-on from My3 on your computer or on your Three phone:
I have highlighted the fact that you cant add blackberry add on vis my three or via my hand set. which makes a the information provide useless in respect of contract phone

@ Rose – I was pay monthly and did it about 6 months ago. As Three offer PAYG Blackberries I assume there must be a similar bolt on where you pay £xx per month out of your credit for the service or something. I cant see the age of the SIM affecting it as its just the services provisioned for the phone. If its a bolt on and it doesnt work I’m sure they will let you remove it.
