#AskThree about all-you-can-eat data.

A couple of weeks ago the social media team told you they were busy planning some secret activity. You’ve all been guessing and questioning what it was that we had up our sleeve and I’m excited (and slightly apprehensive!) to let you know that I’ll be taking over the @ThreeUK Twitter stream to answer your questions about all-you-can-eat data on Three.

All-you-can-eat data is still fairly new to some, so I wanted to take this opportunity to answer all your questions first hand. The One Plan is Three’s most popular tariff, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to shed some light on what it’s all about and find out from you guys what you really think.

I want as many of you as possible to get involved. We ran a poll on Twitter to ask when the best time was for you; it was pretty close but you voted ‘during the day,’ so with that in mind I’ll be on Twitter between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on Friday 3rd June – so make sure you keep that date marked in your diary :-)

To ask me a question, all you’ll need to do is tweet your question followed by the hashtag; #AskThree. For those of you who want to follow the conversation, you can do so here through our Twebevent, or just by setting up a search column for #AskThree.

If you want to swot up on all-you-can-eat before hand you can do that here. I’m really looking forward to speaking to you all and answering all those burning.

@R Douglas-Jones – We allow tethering on some of our plans because our network is designed to carry data. Masts do get congested as we get more and more customers, which is why we are still investing heavily in upgrading masts. I’m going to email you now, to get some more info from you and the team can look into any issues you’re experiencing properly.

@R Douglas-Jones – If you look on any platform set up by a company, whether it be a blog, forum, Facebook or Twitter, you’ll find issues and negative feedback – if they’re brave enough to publish it! We have so much positive feedback around all-you-can-eat data, which we are delighted with as it’s not as common for people to go out of their way to praise a company and the services they offer. Do you have a specific issue?

Explain how in the last 24 months tethering has become a way of life for some, especially students, yet this does come with a downside, namely the over subscription of certain transmitters near student multiple occupation areas like Jesmond in Newcastle, I live adjacent to this area and for the last year have not got a signal at my home in or out side even though the map shows good for both ! Now if you think a £3 reduction in my-line rental will make my phone work your more disillusioned than those phony english named. grads at the Mumbai call centre.
I like more and more of your customers are taking the “Small Claims Court” resolution line to settle there claim with your MUMBAI grads. Every-time I go out I get a voice mail from 333 to call them, are they so stupid to realise that they can only contact me on my land line or are they just not prepared to read the pages and pages of notes on my account.
See you in court, if you turn up ! let a Judge decide who got done over here.

So how come “3″ are the only mobile carrier in the UK to have unlimited data plan, why are the other companies not doing the same, maybe they have looked at all the blogs left by three customers who cant get on line, could that be the reason ?

@ Brett Markell – I’ve dropped you an email so we can look into this for you.
