Have you said #GoodbyeDataLimits yet?

If you’re already with Three or you’re a regular reader of our blog you’ll know that we’ve given all our smartphone customers the chance to say goodbye to data limits. Whether you’re on contract or Pay As You Go, you can get all the internet you’ll ever need with one of our all-you-can-eat data smartphone tariffs. No more stress about how much you’re using, or how big your data bill will be at the end of the month.

So if you’ve said Hello to Three, whether it was today, last week or over a year ago, or if you plan to in the very near future, join us in bidding a fond farewell to limited internet by tweeting with the hashtag #GoodbyeDataLimits.

We’ll even be giving away a smartphone on Three, or an accessory, every day to one lucky winner who takes part.

Getting involved couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is follow us - @ThreeUK – and say Hello to Three by tweeting #GoodbyeDataLimits before the end of February.

We’ll be picking one random winner every day, and we’ve lined up a whole host of prizes ready waiting to be won. We know that you guys love smartphones, so you could win a HTC Sensation XE or XL, a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, Galaxy Nexus or an LG Optimus 3D, all teamed up with a Pay As You Go SIM from Three preloaded with a months worth of all-you-can-eat data paired with loads of texts and minutes. We’ve even got our hands on some of our most popular accessories, including Jabra headphones.

We’ll be keeping track of the number of people that have said #GoodbyeDataLimits with a ticker at the top right hand corner of our blog.

Good luck! And don’t forget to have a peek at our Terms and Conditions too.

I’ve been on the one plane for 2 years with a 3GS. Just upgraded to a 4S and you charged me £49 for the phone. ALso my new bill is £4 a month cheaper than it was.

I have been with 3 since 2003.. very very happy with them!.

    Rock on!.

Hi guys! I have your Sim only deal (iPhone from Apple store) on the one plan with all you can eat data and tethering allowed! Been with 3 for a month and so far I am very happy!!!!! My only concern is that if the one plan becomes very popular, more than it is now and the data downloaded from your network infrastructure increases significantly that 3 may have a re-think and end their All you can eat data with tethering plans? This would be a travesty because it’s the best plan/idea that any network has had! You don’t want to be worrying about your data usage at all! Folk want to pay an agreed amount each month and have their needs sorted!! That’s what 3 have done and for that you are to be commended!! Please, please, please keep the One Plan with All You Can Eat Data active for good because it’s the way to go!
I purchased my phone direct from Apple so as I had the option of putting a localised Sim card into it when travelling abroad to avoid hefty roaming charges which is the norm on any network! (Could be your next point of attack boys and girls bringing roaming charges into check and making 3 shine yet again!!)…So basically I’m not tied to 3 network but I can reassure the 3 network, that I’m with you for the duration unless 3 alters or ends my plan to the detriment of my needs! Also if this excellent service continues I will make sure I let all my friends know about the wonderful benefits of joining the three network!!!
I.m normally a moaner when things don’t go right and I’m very suspicious of carrots being dangled but 3 has delivered! Well done!!!
Feel free use my comments for any testimonials and can you please make sure my comments are read my the relevant people who decide what promotions or plans that 3 markets!!! Thank you once again!!!! Mark Jones
P.S. Calls have been absolutely fine as well!

@ Paul Bembridge – The upgrade is still being prepared at the moment, we’ll let you know more when we can.

@Johanna…. Thanks for the reply. It’s an X7.00

@jennie wormald-clark – There are no plans to add AYCE data to our mobile broadband plans. We believe they are very competitive in the current market place.

  10. jennie wormald-clark on February 22, 2012

i am finding it hard going using £25 of data allowace in a week on my payg dongle mobile internet why cant i have all you can eat data on my dongle instead of conntecting my lap top thro my phone to get just this !!! please make things simple just for once

  11. Moderator: Sedge on February 21, 2012

@ Nick – I’ve taken a look at your postcode, you appear to be in an area with good outdoor and some indoor coverage. Unfortunately at the moment there’s no current plans to work on the coverage in your area but we’re always working on strengthening and growing our network so hopefully we’ll get to you soon.

  12. Moderator: Sedge on February 21, 2012

@Teri – Unfortunately to get the most out of your BlackBerry you’ll need to buy the BlackBerry Internet Service Add On which is an additional £5 per month. You can read about the service and the add on here.

  13. Teri on February 21, 2012

Hi i just recieved my ‘ The One Plan SIM Only’ – 1 month, with ‘all you can eat data’. But now i need the blackberry add-on, why if i have all you can eat data, plus, i cant find the add-on anywhere, customer services is closed now :-(

  14. Nick on February 20, 2012

I am getting a discount at the moment because when you stopped using an Orange mast near me the signal dropped and I struggle to get a signal indoors at home. Can you tell me if there are any plans to upgrade the signal in my area. postcode HG1 [Removed by mod] if it does not improve I and my daughter will have to change networks later this year when our contracts end.

  15. Huggy Bear on February 20, 2012

Isn’t it better make sure the update is fully compatible with the Three software rather than blindly roll it out and hope for the best. I’m sure there would be more negative comments if it just crashed your phones.

  16. Moderator: Johanna on February 20, 2012

@Paul Bembridge – The Belle update is handset dependent… Which phone are you using?

  17. Paul Bembridge on February 18, 2012

So where’s the Nokia Belle update that you said we should be getting by the end of this week….? Hello… It’s the end of this week and all the other nets have had the up’ for over a week now. So why do I pay your company nearly £70 per month and pay your wages on 3 different phone contracts for something I’m not getting? Wake up and smell the coffee 3, and please don’t tell me that it’s Nokia that’s the problem or it’s Nokia who are holding up the rollout. They’re waiting for approval from you guys! Other network providers are available, remember that.

  18. Moderator: Sedge on February 17, 2012

@ Paul Mitchell – Unfortunately not, you’ll need to tweet the hashtag to enter.

    #GoodbyeDataLimits

Count me in. But I don’t have Twitter. Will this count?

  20. Maria on February 16, 2012

Great – no data limits for mobile phones. Now, how about the same for mobile broadband?

  21. Moderator: Sedge on February 15, 2012

@Anowanul Kabir – Glad to hear the Twitter Support guys managed to do this for you :) As for changing your number, remind me, are you on PAYG or contract?

  22. Anowanul Kabir on February 15, 2012

    Hi Kaz,

Thanks the problems have been solved for now as the support guys on Twitter got back to me and put a spending cap. they also said i won’t be able to make phone calls to premium phones or send them txt msgs which is exactly what i want. I still receive filthy dirty messages from unknown sex service providers though. and it’s sad that i’d now have to pay 1.50 pounds for receiving a dirty pornographic txt message that i never intended to receive. Three should have better filters so that innocent customers don’t have to go through situations like this. I truly hope this won’t happen again and i’m going to report to Three and authorities every pornographic msgs i receive, whether they cost me money or not. But if this continues to happen then can I take out my sim card, destroy it and get a new number from Three and thus start from the scratch?

    Best regards,
    AK

@sorina – I’m afraid we do not range the Samsung Galaxy Note. Sorry.

  26. sorina on February 14, 2012

Why I cant find a samsung galaxy note at three

  27. Moderator: Johanna on February 13, 2012

@Sean – If you explain any issue you’re having, we can try and help?

  28. Moderator: Johanna on February 13, 2012

@Paul Bembridge – The Nokia Belle software update will be rolled by Nokia, not by Three. We’re working closely with Nokia to bring you a timescale, it’s currently looking like it’ll be the end of this week. Once we have word from Nokia as to when it’s available we’ll be sure to pass that on.

  29. Tom on February 12, 2012

I see Nokia belle has now been submitted to you and is awaiting approval. Come on guys get it approved and available!
