Merry Christmas me… and you.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…. Isn’t it? I mean there are Christmas songs, Christmas jumpers, presents, amazing food, snow (if we’re lucky), presents, Christmas films, presents. Did we mention presents?!

We’ve all been there;

You; ‘I’ve just been Christmas shopping.’

Your friend; ‘Great, how did it go?’

You; ‘Weeell, I ended up getting this for me. And this for me. And this for me. And a pair of socks for my dad. Merry Christmas me!’

Cue intense feelings of guilt that are only slightly dissipated when you gaze lovingly upon your new possessions.

You want with all your heart to treat your loved ones, but it’s so hard not to get distracted by the shiny things you want. We don’t blame you.

Dry your eyes.

Not too long ago it felt as though you couldn’t pick up a paper without another story of a hard-done-by customer, all stern-faced, holding up a ridiculous telephone bill. The culprit was very often international roaming or the 30 times you had to call your internet service provider on their 0800 number to get a problem sorted.

You might be forgiven for thinking that ‘bill shock’ is now a thing of the past. For the most part, those crazy £3000 bills are. But we’ve recently learnt that over half (54%) of EE, Vodafone and O2 customers have experienced bill shock in the last year- to the tune of £213 each! Not newspaper worthy, but still enough to cause considerable dismay among customers. These bills are often the result of high or unexpected roaming fees or charges for 0800 numbers.

To highlight the eye-watering charges of other networks, we’ve today launched a range of Kleenex-style tissues made using the recycled bills from our competitors. He he :-)

Trade-in your old phone.

24 months is a long time to go between new phones isn’t it? I’m sure we all remember the halcyon days of 12 month contracts that pretty much guaranteed you a new phone once a year. If shiny new technology is your thing, sometimes even 6 months can seem like too long a time to have the same phone…

So if the latest, must-have phone is coming out, being only a few months in to your contract can seem frustrating to say the least. Even if you’re near the end of your contract, wouldn’t it be nice to already have any upfront cost on a new phone sorted?

That’s where our Trade-in service comes in.

Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact – Coming Soon.

Sony have just announced their latest flagship device and latest in the Z- series; the Z3 and its little brother the Z3 Compact.

As you’d expect there have been small but significant improvements to both when you compare to the Z2 iteration. The Z3 is thinner and lighter than its earlier counterpart. The battery now lasts and impressive 2 days and the camera has increased sensitivity (iso12800) which basically means it’s better able to take photos in very low light conditions. There’s also a 25mm wide angle lens and a much brighter screen to enjoy all those photos on.
