Smartphone is King in 2010
2009 was a big year for 3′s devices team. As a network offering great value mobile tariffs we’re keen to offer our customers a compelling range of handsets across all price points. One of our best selling handsets of 2009 was the Nokia E71 demonstrating that many customers are looking for a QWERTY keypad to ensure easy texting, emailing and keeping their social networking status up-to-date. Touchscreens also grew in popularity and it was really exciting to launch our first Google Android handset: the HTC Hero, particularly when partnered with an outstanding service like Spotify; the music sensation of 2009.
Data devices continue to be a big growth area for 3. During 2009 we capitalised on our market leading position in mobile broadband by launching our first MiFi device.
